and the winner is....

After a week and a half of weighing the options (surgery & waiting vs. IVF) we've decided to go the IVF route (applause & support please).

There were several road blocks to surgery including insurance issues (Dr. C isn't covered on my plan), cost (still not clear if insurance would cover it, even if we changed Docs), and wait time (2 months minimum, then 6-12 months of "trying" again). We just decided that for us right now IVF seems like the best option. It still sounds strange to say, and I'm not completely confident in the decision, but I'm getting there.

Congrats on making a decision! That's half the battle...and harder than anyone thinks!
Thanks for your sweet, sweet comment on my recent post--glad to have your support as well!

I agree- deciding is the hardest part- for me it is for almost everything, so I am sure it is true for this. And from the information you shared, it sounds like a good one to me!

Sometimes the hardest and best thing we can do is just make a decision. good for you on getting that far and I am thinking about you and will be in prayer for you girl! I know that this can get so complicated. Just remember to stay strong with MM because that is the best thing you can do through this process. Hang in there.

We're right there with you in our hearts. I can see it's a difficult journey, but in my experience each journey prepares you for the road ahead in ways you could not foresee. I know you and MM have a lot of love to share and I have no doubt your family will grow.

One deep breath. Phew. I know that must have been hard. It was so great to talk to you on our trip out to Point Reyes. Thank you thank you thank you for taking us out there and spending a wee bit of time with us (it felt too short) and my mom and crazy italian friend :)
After hearing you share what Dr. C had shared about the surgery, I was leaning myself towards IVF as well...I hope you keep finding support and encouragement along the way, perhaps in the form of those who have walked the road as well.
Keep us updated and let us know if there is anything we can do to show our love and support.
as always, miriam
